Example:

The bards banal telling of our journey failed at expressing the wonders and horrors we experienced.

Personal Commentary:

So many of the words on this list are extra vocabulary for helping gms with NPC diction. As banal as that statement is; it really seems to be the primary reason. A secondary reason is how much they use the list themselves in their products.
